PILGRIMAGE with the CBAC
The Catholic Biblical Association of Canada began pilgrimage travel in 1985. The pilgrimages to the Holy Land and other lands of the Bible were designed to help Catholics deepen their knowledge and love of the Scriptures as found in the Old and New Testament. With a focus on faith and spirituality, our pilgrimages provide balanced programs enabling participants to experience and enjoy the history, archeology, culture, cuisine and everyday life of the countries we visit.
You could be there...
in the company of others
faith-enriching moments of a lifetime,
in the places where Jesus,
Mary, Paul and the saints
changed the world...
forever.

Relive the birth of Christianity as we celebrate the anniversary of St. Paul

Pope Benedict announced a jubilee for the 2,000th anniversary of St. Paul’s birth from June 28, 2008 to June 29, 2009. Pilgrimages, study conventions and special publications on Pauline texts will be encouraged, he said. An ecumenical focus will characterize this jubilee, the pope added. For, he said, “the apostle to the gentiles, who was especially committed to taking the good news to all peoples, left no stones unturned for unity and harmony among all Christians.”
Saint Paul is undoubtedly one of the most important figures in the history of the Western world. Famously converted on the road to Damascus, he traveled tens of thousands of miles around the Mediterranean spreading the word of Jesus. Just a quick look at the headlines of his life are enough to understand his impact; his works are some of the earliest Christian documents that we have, 13 of the 27 books of the bible are written by him, and he's the hero of another, Acts of the Apostles. It was Paul who came up with the doctrine that would turn Christianity from a small sect of Judaism into a worldwide faith that was open to all.
The Catholic Biblical Association has organized two pilgrimages, stepping back in time to the earliest days of the Church.
You will be inspired as we study Paul's Epistles in the towns that Paul visited. Join us for an unforgettable journey...
